Deanne has been teaching birth education courses at Swedish Medical Center at First Hill in Seattle since 2017. In this role she has helped thousands of birthing people prepare for their birth.

Receiving massage therapy is an effective way to increase relaxation and ease discomfort, making it an ideal technique to utilize during pregnancy. This 3-hour class is designed for birth partners to learn why, where, and how to implement massage therapy techniques for a birthing person during pregnancy and labor. Participants will learn to identify where pregnant/birthing people may experience discomfort and practice specific techniques in a variety of positions from head-to-toe. Focus will be on safety and awareness as well as helpful tips to implement at the end of pregnancy to prepare for labor. This class offering is a fusion of my life’s work of teaching, being a certified childbirth educator, and a licensed massage therapist. I look forward to sharing it with you!
